Search Sedo for a keyword. A perfect domain with an exact match and a mjaor tld and traffic doesn't show up in search results while lots of never sellable nonpremium and nonmatching domains fill search results. If you are a company looking for new names for your site, you won't find what you are looking for by searching. So what is the point of Sedo search. Se part of sedo means search engine. But not a good search engine. Default search is by relevance. If exact match is not relevant, what else can be? Also there is a strong bias toward .co, and negative bias toward .biz.
....
Same is true for registrars. I post a domain on SedoMls, and it is accepted (but not instantly, strange).
Then I go to various registrars to check whether they are promoting my domain. Not at all. I search for keyword, mine doesn't appear among suggestions. If I search for exact domain, it is not shown as for sale. So what is the point of Sedomls. On sedo, I see 4 greens out of 4. Sedomls is good for getting greens. But I don't see any other benefit, except that commission goes up from 15 to 20 percent. Where does that 5 percent go: To sites which promote those domains. But they don't. They promote .site domains for 10K per year, which will never sell.
...
I smell artificial intelligence algorihm. It would be better if they use natural inteligence.

Sedo sets their default search options to "include keyword variations", which essentially means they have carte blanche to clog up the results with just about any garbage domains they want to sell, and they do.

after being with Sedo since early 2000, I still don't understand all their 1990's interface. i do appreciate they handle a great deal of sales but, that's purely down to historical trust.

I had to laugh (otherwise i'd cry) when a .co.uk sale was charged at 20% MLS commission rate. When their own interface states they don't support UK domains with MLS. When I complained , The Sedo operator ZEROED all my domain listings. (about 400 at the time) i bet she was sitting there and saying to herself "Now suck-on that you smart-arse" yep Sedo customer service

it's nice to see the true Registrars now getting in on Sedos dominance. with things like instant purchase and transfer. Sedo treat their own customers (sellers) with such arrogance and disregard yet there hasn't really been a global player to challenge them.

nothing surprises me with Sedo these days
