The new weekly domain sales Report is out at DNJournal.com. Though the year is still young we've already seen a lot of impressive domain sales, the latest coming this week when Sedo rang up a pair of six-figure sales, one of which ranks among the five biggest sales reported so far this year. We also saw one of 2015’s five biggest non.com gTLD sales as well as a ccTLD sale that ranks among the year’s top dozen in that category. You can get all of the details here: http://www.dnjournal.com/archive/domainsales/2015/20150304.htm

These lists always make me realise just how subjective domains are. If I'd seen AndHouse.com in a deleted domains list I'd probably have passed on it for reg fee.

Whereas Outmail.com is a beautiful domain and I wouldn't have expected that to sell for less than $5000.

I'm sure all domainers look at these lists and have similar thoughts about domains every week, just goes to show how unpredictable this game is.

I wonder if procrastination.com and xv.net, were sold for $10k each, at Flippa, due to Flippa employees driving up prices by bidding against clueless outside bidders, with the Seller's knowledge. The way I understand it, Flippa's employees are allowed to bid against clueless outside bidders, as long as the Sellers are aware of that scheme. That seems one way to drive up prices to the benefit of the seller and Flippa. But hey, what do I know ... I'm just a paranoid domainer, right?

Here, read this:

"6) Does Flippa allow employees to bid on auctions ?

“We do allow our staff to bid on auctions as long as the bidders are
clear about this with sellers, however we’re usually so busy working
with Flippa, that our staff of 12 doesn’t have the time to be buying
more sites."

Here's the full interview. Shame on them.

$10k for procrastination.com seems about right to me, somebody could build something great on that site.

Would be a good name for a game, for a start, or a humour blog.
