The new weekly domain sales Report is out at DNJournal.com. This week's all extension Top 20 Sales Chart looks a lot like last week's chart with .coms taking nine of the top 10 spots. Also like last week the leader board features five 3-letter .coms domains, five ccTLDs (one that ranks among the year’s 10 biggest sales in this category) and no non .com gTLDs. The big difference from last week is we had TWO six-figure sales this week after none hit that mark last time out. You can get all of the details here: http://www.dnjournal.com/archive/domainsales/2015/20150401.htm

15 out of the top 20 are Sedo sales, very impressive!

CurrencyConverter is a bit shocking, as Google has one built in essentially. Nice keyword to rank for to sell currency related products along side their convertor.

I was actually brokering that one a couple months ago but seller was asking a much higher price and no one would make me an offer because the range was so high. The term 'currency converter' gets around 1 million google searches per month in the U.S. alone, huge search term worldwide. But I wasn't getting any interest for those two reasons, the very high price and because of all those little google scripts now popping up.

Those scripts are part of what killed certain kinds of minisites too, in addition to other factors. For example I used to own KgToPounds dot com, a term that had tens of thousands of monthly google searches, and I had my minisite with a conversion script on it and had gotten the site to the top serp spot on google; I was just starting to get really good traffic and adsense income... when google put those scripts on their search results pages, and my traffic dropped that month, from thousands down to almost nothing, like around 100 uniques. Then I sold the domain for peanuts, like $x or very low xx. Those google scripts have killed a lot of similar search terms, including language translation terms also. But... they are handy :)

So kudos for the DNS broker who found a buyer for currencyconverter, though at a much lower price. Seller gave me the good/bad news a week ago and told me to take it off my list, ha ha
