At last, the selling fees are reduced: now minimum fee is the same as for .com domains: 50$, and no minimum value is charged when you're parking your dotMOBI domain with SEDO.

Update: minimum is 50$ in any case, no discounts for parked .mobi domains are applied.

About time! I canceled sales based on the $150 fee. Hope I can get them back.
What were they thinking?

Woohoo!

Yes! I'm even getting $120 of my $170 AttorneyatLaw.mobi sale back now! I just checked, and they show it as only a $50 commission, where yesterday it showed $150! I feel much better...

Congratulations, 120$ is much better, than 20!

IMHO, kudos are due to Pred and several others who recently went ballistic about this on the other forum. Many respectable domainers sounded off, and although at first excuses were offered, within a couple of days the change was made. This is a great example of how we need to speak as a group if we really want to get things done. I'm not a Sedo basher, in fact I have nearly all of my .MOBIs there. I think sometimes it's just a case of rapidly growing companies trying to deal with a rapidly evolving market. In any case, they did the right thing in reducing their fees.

Thanks! But I think I'll hold on to the money just a little longer... ;)

Even better, I also found that the commission from my VOG.mobi auction from a week ago was reduced! The buyer had paid and I'd made the necessary account changes, but the completion of the transaction was still pending.

I wonder how retroactive they're making this?

Good news. I accepted an offer now that I am looking at 25% commission compared to 75% before.

One thing that sucks is that if an offer is made in Euros, they charge you 50 Euros, which is $60 USD.

Good move on their part. I was holding off loading in my .mobi domains.
