Hi all

Im currently in the process of transfering a domain i sold @ sedo, the problem is it is registered at www.access.enom.com which to my knowledge cannot be transfered or pushed.

I think Enom will charge me for a transfer, although i dont know why cus its at enom in the first place, but i cant afford the charges, so this looks like its a lost sale.

The sale is $100, there taking $50 (which is outrageous, but still).

Whats the best thing to do?

Why they taking $50 fee?
I think they're taking now only 10% .

Well according to this it says Sedo Fees - $50 i get $50 aswell. If they take $50 im never using them its daylight robbery!

I've sold several domains that had to be transferred to another registrar (like from 1and1.com) and I've never had to pay the transfer fee. The buyer generally pays the transfer fee, at least that has been my experience.

The 10% is only if the domain was parked and got traffic and is a certain TLD like .com, .net, .info rather than some of the lesser known ones (they have the list on their site, can't remember off hand). Otherwise the fee is $50. I sold a domain on there for $60 and got $54 in the end.

BTW, they also pay you by paypal generally and they take a small cut as well.

if it was parked on sedo, you pay only 10% , about enom, the buyer can create an account there and its a free push

but its at access.enom.com , theres no option to push it and you cant log in to www.Enom.com with the same username and password as you can with access.enom.com.

Have someone create you a real enom account and email the person above you and ask them to push the domain over to it. Or better yet have them create you an account.

I have an Enom account already. But the account is at an Access.Enom.Com account, which im told is for the use of resellers. There is no Push feature on there at all. All you have is a Nameserver feature and Contact info. Very Basic. Im waiting to see what they say.

Sedo has a good relationship with all the major players in the registrar world. Usually they will tell you what to do to transfer the name. If there is any issues, your transfer agent can usually talk to them and find out what you need to do specifically. they were very good in resolving an issue I had with transferring from 1and1.com.

access.enom.com is a reseller's "sub-interface" to manage domains. The name is actually held by a reseller account and access to the domain is granted through a password to be used at access.enom.com.

To transfer the domain, basically you just hand over the password to the domain to the new owner and have him change the contact information on it to his own. The downside to this is you don't have any way of confirming that he received the domain.

It might be best to contact the eNom reseller holding the name and see if they would mind pushing the name to another eNom account (it's their option). The other thing the reseller could do is oversee the handoff of the domain password to the new owner. To find the reseller for the name, just check the WHOIS for the domain and see what it says for "Registration Services Provided By:" then email that contact.

Remember though, eNom only permits one "push" per 7 days, so if you have this name pushed to you, you will not be able to push it to the new owner for a week.

I actually bypassed Sedo on this because the owner emailed me and got my addy from the Whois info so i handed him the username and password. He gave me the money first and we spoke on the phone while the transaction was going through.

Top stuff, no Sedo fees!
