If there's a domain parked with Sedo that I'm interested in and I click the "This domain may be for sale by it's owner" link and go to the sedo page to submit an offer, how does this process work?

The only thing I understand is that if my offer meets the seller's minimum, the domain then goes up for public auction.

My questions:

1) Do I know instantly that I've meet the minimum or does the seller review the offer and then start the auction?

2) A similar question... When does the auction begin? If I submit the offer at 1 AM EST and it meets the minimum, does the auction begin at that time?

3) How many days does the auction last?

Thanks for any help anyone can provide. I've searched around Sedo site and can't find any answers.

I dont know about the first two, but once you place an offer, its 5 days, and after the owner accepts it, then there is a 7 day period for other people to bid on it...I think.. check sedo , they have all of their information on the site.

No, you donยดt. The seller does review your offer and if your offer is OK with the sellers minimum price, he will start an auction. If not, he will show his minimum amount to you by placing it as an correspondent offer, it is up to you to accept it or you may issue an higher bid and wait what the seller decide.

2) A similar question... When does the auction begin? If I submit the offer at 1 AM EST and it meets the minimum, does the auction begin at that time?

The auction begins instantly after the seller admitted your bid, but this is not automatically, the seller need to review your offer first before starting an auction.

3) How many days does the auction last?

Normally it is 7 days.

I hope this answers were helpful to you ( I am new to this business, since 2007 )
