I received a sedo offer for blanka(dot)org.
It is a generic first name, the name of a female athlete with a healthy bod, the name of a green video game character, and name of some businesses.
Not sure why I ever registred it, so I would be happy with a sale.

What is the value of this domain? (keeping in mind that I want to sell it)

It is also the name of a busser at my restaurant...could be a personal name bid

Can you say how much were you offered for the name? That would help us determine if you should accept it, counter offer or send it to a SEDO auction.

Grab the offer since you are not sure why you registered it - and want to sell it. Starting auction is a good idea.

Goodluck.

But I don't want to contaminate the appraisals...

The offer is very small, 100 euros, of which sedo keeps 50.

Sedo keeps 50% ? is that true? This is ridiculous commission.

I think 100 euros is an ok offer but you can counter offer at 250 atleast and see what you get...

Sedo's commission structure depends on the type of tld sold. It also charges a minimum of 10% of the sale price or $50 minimum, whichever is higher.

As for the domain, send it to an auction, what have you got to lose?.

The minimum $50 (US) commission is only waived if the name is parked at Sedo and sells for a fixed price.

100 euros = $137 US.

It is a .org name - I would counter offer between 150 & 200 euros to cover the Sedo commission.

I agree with several above; to offset the minimum $50 fee you should aim for at least a low-mid $xxx...
