Hi,
I've never bought on sedo before, or anything other than directly from a registrar.
I want to buy a domain, and on this domain have private whois info. (So - at no time do my details go on the domain, even if at first and then later make it private, because due to whois history lookup, this would defeat the purpose for having private registration in the first place).
Is it somehow possible to do it?
What happens (whois-wise), when you purchase a domain at sedo? Does it automatically place your sedo account's contact/billing address details into the whois upon transfer, or can you completely control what goes into the whois for the initial domain ownership (and whois....) transfer?
If it's hard to do what I want without creating a sedo account with fake details or something - another option could be.....I know a registrar with whom I have a good registrar-client relationship, and with whom I have a number of private whois domains already. Could another option be to organise it with them? (though, would they have to do the bidding themselves on sedo? That'd be a mess, due to the liability issue and simple unpredictability of whether the negotiations go successfully anyway...but it's an avenue, right? I just hope it can be simpler and controlled all from my end rather than this option...)
Ahhhhhhhh WAIT.....Wait....and do be patient please with my noobiness - it doesn't actually work like that, does it...the whois registering all takes place with your destination registrar, right? (meaning, you just have to find a registrar who can offer private whois, and that's how you do it?)
Thanks for helping out a newbie!
