The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Sedo are a joke.
Launching a Chinese website and after being advised repeatedly over a year or more you still cannot add Chinese extensions like .香港,.中国.

Pathetic is probably more appropriate.

"Sedo's new Chinese-language site includes all of the features of its existing sites, and will make it easier for Sedo’s existing 50,000 active clients in China to buy, park and sell domains."

It also took them more than one year to point out that individuals could own .cn!

They have only JUST updated their site. For the past year potential buyers had been incorrectly told they could not own .cn!

"What are the regulations for registering .CN domains?
The Chinese registrar, CNNIC, released their latest regulations for the registration of .CN domains in 2012.

From 28 May 2012, any individual or organization in the world that can bear independently civil liabilities, has the right to apply for .cn domain registration under the implementing rules of CNNIC."

Wot made much effort in "pushing" SEDO to update the .CN domain registration policy, especially a long while ago, individuals could own China .CN domain names, that is good for all .CN domainers/investors.

Also, thank Lingyi, SEDO's Country Manager – China, for caring about Chinese customer/partner's proposal and wrote to their website design team for at least 3 times to update the .CN domain policy.

Good luck to SEDO's decision in marching into mainland Chinese market by their Chinese version website.

"Chinese Registrar Bizcn.com Joins SedoMLS
Sell your domains worldwide"

Provided they are not .香港,.中国 or any other Chinese character extension that Chinese investors (Or any investors) cannot search, feature, park etc.

I cannot understand why the Chinese registrars don't put pressure on Sedo to do something so basic. If I was Chinese I would be insulted!
