By request, we've decided to start a thread dedicated to Sedo. We're looking for invaluable insight into what domainers want and need out of our parking program (and marketplace, of course).

Questions, comments, suggestions, tips are welcome! We're hoping this will be a great discussion about what works at Sedo and what might not (please be constructive and respectful to others in your feedback) so that everyone involved can benefit and learn from it.

Is there a short answer for this...

Sedo was my first marketplace waaaay back in the day. The email, computer and (quite frankly) the name I used have been lost to the years.

Is there a simple way, other than submitting DNA or family history, to get the account resurrected? Or, should I just start again from scratch?

@Sedo Can you please verify the push username for Spaceship? I was told by CS it is "transferservice" but no one gets back to me and Spaceship states the contact details for "transferservice" are missing. I don't want to push a name to the wrong account. Just a suggestion, changing to "sedotransfer" or "sedopush" would instill more confidence

Hey Ive just reached out to our transfer team and they have informed me that, the account details are correct, the username is "transferservice". The username is accurate and our transfer manager has informed me that they are in contact with Spaceship to resolve this issue. They have said they will send you another message to retry the push when they hear back from Spaceship.

For data protection and security reasons, we would recommend that you start a new account.

Why is necessary to show on land pages from what country is the seller
Not help seller from countries less popular vs popular country
I notice this big problem
Many have good domains & are forces to sell this names for a bucks of $ and the new owner ( domainer ) is from USA or Germany or France sell the domain with big money
I requested to be removed from land pages or any front seller pages this

Better to put only the year since the domainer is on Sedo and better to add how many domains sold the seller & maybe a feedback that can be give by buyer to seller for fast move of transaction or something like this

I dont think is hard to do this things on Sedo

@Sedo, would you guys consider removing this drawback altogether or perhaps making it an opt-in/out feature?

Hi Inframan,

The reserve price is the lowest bid that a domain could potentially sell for, there is no minimum offer in an auction. You can add the reserve price when you apply for an auction. If the reserve for the auction is set and mandatory at 99 then you have to add this in there as our system does not default to 99. To apply do as so:

1) Log into your Sedo account.
2) Go to My Sedo > My Domains > Domain Management.
3) Check off domain you wish to be considered for the Auction Event.
4) Click the grey “Promote Domains” button and select the "4 Letter.com Auction" option.
5) On the following page enter your reserve of 99 and confirm the application.

Sorry for the delay ive been out of the office for a few days. We encourage our customers to use the SL1 and SL2 sales lander, it is more individual than the old ns1 lander and is more secure against attacks. Switching name servers will reroute the traffic from one k8s cluster to another and to another cassandra store where the certificate get stored. Any certificates will have to be re-issued before they are available.

The problem with using the SL1 and SL2 nameservers is if someone is actually parking their priced domains with Sedo they will never be able to hit the recheck status button to get 100% MLS promotion as your system only acknowledges NS1.SEDOPARKING.COM NS2.SEDOPARKING.COM currently...


Current activation status:
These actions increase the domains`s Promo Level and likelihood of sale:

Park this domains with Sedo: To park your domain, visit your registrar and set the following name servers:

• Primary Server Name: NS1.SEDOPARKING.COM
• Secondary Server Name: NS2.SEDOPARKING.COM

Is your domain already parked? Recheck Status

For more information on getting started with domain parking please visit our Customer Support Center.

So you need to add SL1 and SL2 or else the optimize box can never reach a 100% promotion level.

So my advice today is to use the standard NS1.SEDOPARKING.COM NS2.SEDOPARKING.COM and just select *new* Sales Lander 15 in your settings until they fix this.

Just to confirm, the Promo level is purely an internal statistic only for you. It does not increase the likelihood of a sale in anyway. Its just an internal reference for you. If you park or add the sales lander, list as Buy Now and activate SedoMLS Premium *if possible* this is the way to best optimise the domain for selling. But the Promo level itself has no external influence on whether a domain has better selling potential, simply the the actions themselves taken will. So it doesnt matter even if the promo level only showed level one. If you have Parked or added the sales lander, listed as Buy Now and activated SedoMLS Premium then you have optimised your domain as much as possible for sale and no different to if the Promo level showed fully optimised.
