Hi All! :hi:

By request, we've decided to start a thread dedicated to Sedo. We're looking for invaluable insight into what domainers want and need out of our parking program (and marketplace, of course).

Questions, comments, suggestions, tips are welcome! We're hoping this will be a great discussion about what works at Sedo and what might not (please be constructive and respectful to others in your feedback) so that everyone involved can benefit and learn from it.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas! Happy Holidays!

Always,
Keith
(on behalf of Sedo)

Well i think i don't have anything more useful to add to my previous set of comments about your new "offer details page"
Failure to understand basic disadvantages and present an irrational excuse as an improvement makes the whole features set a joke IMO
(i'm talking about country and taxes)
I also noticed that nearly all of my comments remained un-commented for some reason
Maybe my attitude (i doubt) maybe you don't have something solid to provide as a reply

"we hope to make purchasing decisions even easier in the future"

Just make sure that you also use thought and facts because only with hope you can't give anything good to your members

PS. Iโ€™m a nice guy :) that simply canโ€™t justify irrational excuses

Sedo GreatDomains auction ending soon!

Sedoโ€™s GreatDomains auction ends at approximately 2:00pm EST tomorrow. Weโ€™ve got some awesome names this month! Fly.com will definitely be one to keep your eyes on. Other notable names include planet.com, typo.com, ppl.net at no reserve, and fifties.com.

We will also be having a champagne toast at Sedoโ€™s booth at TRAFFIC NY tomorrow to celebrate the close of the auction. So if youโ€™re at the show you should definitely stop by. Whoever guesses the highest bid for fly.com will also have a chance to win a bottle of Cristal!

You may view our entire Premium Auction inventory here.

Happy bidding!

It's happening to me too lately.
Lot of coms stay in verification for many days and then ...deleted from my account. Only sometimes i receive an email notification where Sedo says me it can't verify my ownership and if i can send them an email from the address in the whois. Then i do, but 99% of times the domains will be deleted the same.
I have to contact Sedo support for having them listed correctly after few days.
But why it's happening?
Currently i have like 15 domains, owned and/or acquired during last 7 days, not listed on Sedo even if i've added them 4 times (with email verification etc..). Only 3 have been listed within 2 days.

Hi,

If our Quality Management is unable to verify your ownership of domains added into your Sedo account based on the Whois data, the domains may be removed from queue. If you are experiencing trouble with domain verification, please contact them at [email protected], and they will send you further information in order to verify your ownership of the domains.

Is it true that Sedo won Biggest domain parking racketeer 2008 pushing tons of domainers to park to avoid 50$ minimal commision and screwing them hard on parking revenue?

I give You my personal award: Worst revenue domain parking ever since.

I actually agree although it could have been said in a better way, I hate the idea of having people park a domain to advoid huge fees.

I've got two 'ecology' related domains listed with Sedo - TheEcologyChannel.com and TheEcologyNetwork.com - but when I do a search on 'ecology' using the 'advanced search' function, as a potential buyer might do, neither of them show up.
This means of course that if someone is looking for an ecology-related name mine have no chance of being found.
If I type in 'TheEcology' then TheEcologyNetwork.com shows up, but the only way I can get TheEcologyChannel.com to show up is by typing in the whole name, which rather defeats the purpose of a search.
Does anyone else have this problem? And how can it be fixed ?

Hi,

I've looked into this issue and I've sent the problem to our tech team. It should be resolved shortly, and I will PM when I receive notification that these domains are showing up properly in our marketplace.

Sometimes it take a while for domains to index correctly because of our extensive database, so this may be the issue.

Hi,

I have previously sent this issue to our Tech team. They let me know that domains that do not have any traffic, visits to the offer page, or offers may take longer to index in search results.

This may have been answered here already and if so my apologies. The thread's just too long to read everything (but that's a good thing...).

I've asked this through Sedo support but so far no response: Is there any way to get parking stats for several months? I'd like to chart my traffic stats over a longer period than 32 days, which is the only option I have found. Can this be done?

SEDO paid anywhere from $1 to $3

I have several websites on bankruptcy, foreclosure, forex, etc.
Occasionally, I switch them to SEDO's parking.
For the last 2 or 3 years SEDO paid anywhere from $1 to $3 ppc for these domains.
Lately they started paying a nickel!
What's the great thinking here?

Click on "Domain List" on the left side of the screen when you login. Once there, you will see a drop down menu on the top of the middle of the screen. It most likely says "selectg days". You can set this to the current day, a number of days, or a number of months. Also, to the right of that menu, where it says "show by", then "domain" or "date" you can alternate between that to compare day to day stats instead of domain by domain, or vise versa.

Sedo does not make estimates and then adjust them up or down. They simply pay their estimation of your earnings as they come in. As a result, they sometimes pay way to much or way too little. You are seeing an instance where they probably should not have paid so much for those visitors and are then adjusting down on the next visitors. If you leave it there long enough, it should start to get closer to the actual earnings.
