By request, we've decided to start a thread dedicated to Sedo. We're looking for invaluable insight into what domainers want and need out of our parking program (and marketplace, of course).

Questions, comments, suggestions, tips are welcome! We're hoping this will be a great discussion about what works at Sedo and what might not (please be constructive and respectful to others in your feedback) so that everyone involved can benefit and learn from it.

I recently received an email I sold a domain for $100. But I listed it at $1988 everywhere (afternic, sedo, brandpa). It was a drop registration so perhaps the old owner had listed (and not me). I bought the domain on July 12, 2024. So if the Sedo listing happened after this date then it was me (I must've made a mistake). But if it was listed on Sedo prior to this date - then it was the old seller who listed it and not me. That would be unfair.

I sent an email to your CS - but the issue seems timely so I thought I'd post here as well. You've helped in the past so perhaps take a look and let me know?

thanks. Now that I see that - perhaps I made a mistake. I probably intended to drop the name on July 12 2025, changed my mind, renewed, and forgot to change the price at Sedo.

My names using Sedo NS are not resolving for me. I used a couple of the sites that do the "Is it just me or is it really down?" check. They confirmed that the names were down. Hopefully this is not happening for others but it was the case for me for all of the names I checked.

Sedo takes weekends seriously so I wouldn't expect any attention to this until Monday if it is, in fact, a problem.

Yes, all my domains parked using ns1 & ns1.sedoparking.com are down. Ones using cname/IP method are working ok. Hopefully they get it fixed soon!

I've moved all of my names from Sedo NS and don't plan on returning. This is something that should be monitored 24/7. It should impact a day off for the CTO but it doesn't. This is core, fundamental functionality that is not working. Sedo has no sense of urgency or innovation.

Just checked some of my domains and they're working fine, unfortunately I didn't check earlier as I didn't see this post until now. (It might be that the nameservers were down but it could also be too aggressive IP blocking.)

When I first noticed this problem, I tracked down another couple of third-party domain names using the Sedo parking NS. I didn't have any reason to believe the problem was specific to me or my account but I wanted to check. The other names were down and still are. As I noted earlier, I also used sites that check "down" status and they reported truly down.

You shouldn't use those nameservers (if possible). use sl1.sedo.com and sl2.sedo.com (they default to lander #15 though - but as long as you're ok with that - it is best). Which btw, are still up

I stopped using the new landers because they were giving off virus alerts and I could never get the sales page to load.

I'm using sl1/2.sedo.com for most domains. But good point, I checked one that uses sedoparking nameservers and it doesn't resolve.

Nameservers are ok, both answer to ping and return the IP for the domain, but the parking itself seems to be down.

sedoparking nameservers return 64.190.63.222 and SL nameservers return 91.195.241.232 for the same domain. The first IP is dead, doesn't even answer to ping, I checked from different geo locations.

All parked domains are still not resolving on the ns1/ns2.sedoparking.com name severs. Loosing revenue here… hope we’re compensated.

It's not a nameserver issue.

Sedo's webserver at 64.190.63.222 simply doesn't respond.

I wandered today's morning why I got so few visitors. I had only a traffic from nine at 75 domains. That was crazy and a little bit spooky. I know the traffic is bot based, but so much low traffic is unusual.

I hope Sedo will fix the problem soon as possible

Haha, I know. I am a german and I know the German mentality. I'm sorry that we don't work on weekends They really should set up support...!

I submitted a ticket. By the time they reply to it....in 5 days...they will say: We don't see anything wrong. It seems to be resolved. LOL
