Sedo/buydomains brokerage emails

checking my email's - I have a couple of email's from brokers sedo/buydomains one being from senior Sedo Broker Brian Michitti

Emails are regarding three of my domains one being my LL.com that's not listed at sedo and another domain that is.

Buydomains have emailed me asking the price of a LLL.com that's not listed at afternic

does that mean they have found endusers for the domain's?

I've now emailed them back.

I don't think so. Domainers like to approach the seller themselves, usually by email from whois. The fact that a broker sent the offer email means that the client has no idea about the domain marketplace.

you draw conclusion based on no evidence other than a email.


there are plenty of domainers who like to keep low profile and will buy domains thru brokers or use ghost names


there are domainers who will pay "end-user" price, to take a domain out of the reseller marketplace.

imo...

Those are end-users already, not domainers... Domainers tend to take the name cheaper and sell for profit. End-users have another intentions for the domain, including taking it out of the marketplace.

Buydomains is a big domainer too. I would assume they are the buyer.

The sedo one would most likely have a buyer. The Buydomains uncertain.

sent them a counter back see what happens

That's a nice offer for a LLL.com domain, but it may be low if the domain is a good one, but you may already know this.

countered back to the broker at buydomain's yesterday - he even called to confirm my counter offer..

sedo brokers nothing back yet - maybe Monday I guess ..not really interested in selling the ll.com unless it's something phenomenal.

Yeah, I wouldn't be in a hurry to sell the LL.com either.. it'll do nothing but go up in the coming years..

* sedo have a buyer in the $65,000 range for the ll.com - I rejected the offer not interested in selling
* on the other domain at sedo we gone into escrow for the forex + keyword .com at $8,500
* had a counter back from buydomains gone into escrow for the lll.com at $12,xxx -

so not too bad - it's come at a nice time as I'm off to OZ for two weeks holiday

update : failed sale at sedo buyer never paid

afternic have confirmed they finally got the money for the lll.com today..
