Don't you have a receipt for the renewal? It would help.

If the domain was expired and Chetan had control then he can quickly produce record of renewal.

here is the most clear proff that the domain isnt expired. the previous owner purchased this on namejet in august and sold to me. go check on namebio.com

yes. i told him its not and expires in 2016. also, he had a month with the domain before he pulled this stunt. So in that month lets say that it was expired (which it wasnt) then he could clearly see that and renew it

New Ventures LLC have stolen your domain, James Rodman hasn't scammed you.

I can't be bothered to explain in depth, I'll only tell you that google is your friend....

Here's some information on 'New Ventures'

http://dotweekly.com/new-ventures-services-corp-who-are-they/

They have a long history of taking domains from accounts before the expiry date, and have some sort of close relationship with Network Solutions.

I've seen this exact same stuff before, which is why I'd never use Network Solutions as a registrar.

NetworkSolutions is dodgy at best... I think you two should take a moment and let Chetan get the explanation from NS and I'm sure he will post it here.

Think of all parties that have been mentioned; NS, NewVentures LLC, James Rodman, Chetan, Sedo...

Lot's of cooks in this messy kitchen.

sedo part is really nothing. previous owner had it listed on there in an auction when he sold to me so he is complaining that i should have taken it off there when it wasnt even me who posted it there

Please don't drag me into your tit for tat / politics, I'm sitting firmly on the fence, what I've just explained will be news to him just as it was news to you.

What I've said is that its likely neither of you are scammers.

what did you in this case?

In that case I just contacted them via phone and had to aggressively get them to change the NS back, and had to ask for an transfer auth code TWICE. My situation was different than this one, but it looks like they were making it as hard as possible for me to get my DN out, or to justify their snatching of it.

Sound advice for anyone; if you have a domain with NS transfer it out ASAP.
