When I moved all my domains from GoDaddy to DynaDot in February of 2024 Sav was in my list of possibles. There were too many complaints here regarding domains disappearing from accounts randomly, along with other bugs. Main reason I looked at them is local Chicago connection but being able to sleep at night is more important than the cheapest price. My office is like 7.5 miles from Atom, not that that matters really but partnering with local companies kinda cool. I'm good with DynaDot and if I was gonna experiment elsewhere I might give Spaceship a shot. Good luck getting the issues sorted. (y)

Almost the same for me. I went from Epik to Dynadot a couple of years ago when Epik went up in flames. SAV and Porkbun were the other 2 I considered. I ended up putting a bunch of non-.coms at Porkbun and have found them good. Dyna is where my .coms went to, and they're also very good. Same as you, I gave SAV a miss due to all the issues (except a few names that I already had there and have since transferred out), and I am so glad I did that. They do not seem to have improved at all. I don't think I could have handled another pile of problems after the Epik mess.

I was also thinking of (possibly) considering Spaceship (or Porkbun) for my .coms when I need to do some renewals later this year. I like Dynadot and would really like to leave my domains there, but with exchange rates going through the roof over the last year or so (along with the continual .com price increases), I'm starting to think some savings would be helpful...

Won an expired domain at auction, paid, but did not receive the domain, 10 days have passed, the problem is still not resolved

Same.

Last I heard was this: "I will need to escalate this request to our advanced support team for further assistance."

It's pretty crazy they don't have the technical know-how to push a domain (that's at Sav) into my Sav account.

There is a reason (actually a number of them), that I don't use SAV anymore, despite the prices. It's just not worth the trouble.

I had a horrible experience on Sav today and it's made me nervous about holding domains there. I have reported the matter to them and am awaiting their response as to what happened.

I recently bought a domain at a SAV auction. I already hold a number of domains with them. I would normally wait for 60 days and then list it at afternic/atom/sedo. I had already pointed the NS to afternic though I did not have an active listing in afternic yet as the domain is under 60 day lock.

After waiting a month I thought I might as well try a SAV lander for 30 days and get it up for sale. I got verified for selling on SAV and changed the nameservers back to a SAV for sale page earlier today. As I had not sold on SAV before I typed the domain name into the searchbar of a new webpage to see the lander.

I was shocked to see that doing this took me first briefly to a redirect page and then directly inside a SAV account with the account index on left side panel. I clicked on ''domains'' to discover I was in my own account with all my SAV domains showing. I clicked on a domain name and could see my name and contact details. This really threw me and I quickly realised that anybody typing the domain name into a searchbar would land at the same place.

I went to my SAV account and logged out to see if this made a difference. I can't remember if I changed nameservers to afternic at this point before logging out or if I did it later. I was a bit panicked. In any event after logging out I opened a new webpage and again typed the domain name in the searchbar. It did the same thing and took me briefly to a redirect page and then into an account. I presumed I was in mine again but I wasn't. This time I clicked on ''domains'' and saw someone else's portfolio. I did not click on any domain names to identify the account as I felt very weird looking at somebody else's portfolio but I did screenshot the page before leaving so I could show it to SAV.

(I think this might have been when I went back into my account and changed the nameservers back to afternic as I thought this was the best thing to do to stop a domain search being able to access accounts. )

A little bit later I opened another webpage and again typed the same domain name in hoping it had now resolved back to afternic. It hadn't. It again took me to a redirection page and then into a SAV account. I clicked on ''domains'' and it loaded a different portfolio than before. I repeated this process again, and again it took me to a redirect page and a different account. I think altogether it was my account and 4 others that I went into. I took a screenshot of the accounts to show SAV. No personal details were visible as I chose not to click on any domains.

I reported this issue to SAV straight away via chat and sent screenshots of the portfolios it took me to. I am pretty new to domain selling and am still shocked that this has happened. There is something very unnerving about being in someone else's account.

SAV have emailed me and said they are looking at it. I hope they find out what caused this and fix it. I will update with any response. I like buying on SAV but this has really thrown me.

As I type, the domain name in question still takes you to an account page but no domains or details are accessible and it is now showing a 404 section - I presume this is since I reported it. It has not yet resolved to afternic. Very interested to hear if anyone has experienced anything similiar to this.

I'm in the process of moving the few domains I've got with them. It's a pain as I have to pay renewal and I presume I'll get another 60 day lock on transfers but being able to access other user account portfolios is too much for me. Account security should be a given and I find it pretty insane that I was able to access other accounts whilst simply trying to view a SAV for sale landing page from a search engine domain name search.

In fairness to them they took my report seriously and seem to have taken steps to stop it but how on earth does this even happen in the first place.

I can't log in to my Sav account, 2 factor verification is failing, is anyone else having the same problem? Does anyone have a phone number or email for them?

I'm logged in now, but it took a while and it's stressful because I just sold a name that I had to transfer - I couldn't unlog the name myself and had to have support do it for me. I hope they get their problems sorted out soon otherwise I'll move my names away.

Yes, I could not log into my Sav account at all yesterday. 2 factor verification failed multiple times and Sav chat was never there and has still not replied to my request for help.

Good luck getting an expiration notice. You'll have to be proactive or else suddenly, find your names have been deleted and even put on the market as a 'partner premium' domain.

Everyone is better off using Spaceship or Dynadot

Sorry to hear, I contacted them via mail and they helped me to login

Sav replied back and said:

"Could you please try logging in using this link: https://www.sav.com/users/login Let me know if you encounter any issues. Additionally, please try logging in using incognito mode this time. Thank you!"

Using that link in incognito mode did allow me to access my account.

Did I misunderstand this?

Or did you really click a sav.com landing page that took you into another person's (seller's?) Sav.com account?

I hope I'm misunderstanding this 'cause that's wild!

Sav.com feels like a DYING company.
They've been having payment issues since early last week. They have not resolved it. Domain names on the verge of expiration are not being renewed even after they've charged you for it. Several days after they've charged you for it.

The issue persisted throughout last week and into this week. Meanwhile, their Tech/Dev teams packed it up 5PM on Friday and had themselves a supposedly nice weekend.

The issue remains unresolved till now.

I typed the domain divinehealing.org (a domain I had just set to a SAV for sale lander) into a google searchbar to check out the lander. It did not go to a lander. It took me briefly to a blank page with a redirect message on, then redirected straight into a SAV account without any other action on my part. First it was my account, then when I replicated it in a new and subsequent google searchbars it took me into 4 different user accounts where I could see their full account portfolios after a brief redirect page. I did not hang about and quickly changed the nameservers to afternic, abandoning any idea of using SAV landers. I screenshotted the accounts it took me to and sent them straight to SAV and advised them what had just happened.

It has taken ages but that domain name now finally resolves to afternic. It was such an insane experience that I nearly came on namepros to ask someone to do the same search and see if it happened to them - I decided against this as I am pretty new, don't know anyone very well and didn't think accessing user accounts is something I should ask someone to replicate (!).

Very interested to hear if anyone has experienced anything similiar to this.

I remember a story about someone who dropped a domain they had at Sav, and it fully deleted and then someone else caught or registered the same name at Sav, with a brand new creation date. Yet the old owner had a ghost record of the domain in his account and was still able to change the nameservers and even retrieve the auth code IIRC.

Sav support is a joke. They are polite but rarely resolve anything. They probably know about the issue you reported already. They DGAF but they're not going to say that. They will always just say "This is being looked into by our advanced dev team."
