Sav denying to recover a redemptionPeriod domain.

This first time happened to me when some registrar telling they can't help with domain in redemptionPeriod!

I checked, Icann guidelines, they clearly stated

"you tried to redeem (or restore) your domain name that is in RGP, but were unable to do so, the registrar may be in breach of the Expired Registration Recovery Policy."

While Sav is saying

"Hello,
Sorry about the confusion. Since your domain is in redemptionPeriod, not Expired Renewal Grace Period, it has already been returned the registry and is unable to be renewed.

I would suggest placing a backorder for it so that we can attempt to catch it for you when it drops."

Please help me what should I do in this case? Domain is .com domain!

"The 2013 RAA provides enhanced protections for registrants and an increased level of accountability for registrars, including but not limited to added registrar posting requirements, added compliance enforcement tools, and increased accountability to third parties."

Does SAV limit their liability and responsibility to us by operating as so many entities?

redemptionPeriod

This status code indicates that your registrar has asked the registry to delete your domain. Your domain will be held in this status for 30 days. After five calendar days following the end of the redemptionPeriod, your domain is purged from the registry database and becomes available for registration.

So they asked the registry to delete it, but…

If you want to keep your domain, you must immediately contact your registrar to resolve whatever issues resulted in your registrar requesting that your domain be deleted, which resulted in the redemptionPeriod status for your domain. Once any outstanding issues are resolved and the appropriate fee has been paid, your registrar should restore the domain on your behalf.

So they should be able to help you unless it’s a domain where the linked info doesn’t apply. It’s probably not a common thing. The way I read that document it sounds like only the registrar that deleted it can help you, so be nice to them.

Hi,

my domain is expired on 31 days ago, stil not in redemption. its status is only transfer prohibited , i can not unlock it also i can not renew it. it is not in redemption.
I asked with support they told me its complete 29 days, and in auction.
But thing is that in godaddy owner can get it in auction also in dyna owner can get it until goes to redemption.

I have directly contact NICK R to resolve this issue.

It happened with namebright for one of my domain that was expires and <60 days. Their reply was that they can't do anything about it
