I have a .org domain name for a very popular .gov site. For example, let's assume I own EPA.org (the gov has EPA.gov).
I'm thinking of some fun ideas that relate to the .gov site and am wondering if they might land me in some trouble. Ideas:
1. A satirical version of the .gov site. It would look like it, although there would be a disclaimer that this site is a satire of the .gov site.
2. A list of all the news announcements the .gov site puts out (never mind the SEO issues or usefulness of this site for this discussion). Basically, whatever they put out (and it's not copyrighted, they are public press releases), goes on my site. The site would not look like the .gov site of the same name.
I know that there are no trademark issues, and I assume that since a US citizen can make fun of a public official they can make fun of a public agency. But is there anything I should worry about, other then the prez sicking the IRS on me?
