Hi,
dont be amazed,
i'll tell you the story.
I had my Economics paper today (am a university guy lol)
After i left the class and went to the bus stop i saw a car called "Optra royalé"
I taught (I am constantly thinking of domains, even when i sleep lol)
I taught no chance that royal.com will be availabel, someone must be owning it so royalé.com is a good name, i was 1 hour away from the Internet, i just prayed that someone should no snag it.
I went to the site
royalé.com - Available , couldnt get much luckier
as 2 other Generic Tld's were taken.
Please appraise my new Baby royalé.com

Sounds good, but Results 1 - 10 of about 1,880 for "royalé". Don't know what language it is, but there a SOME premiums left in IDNs!

Indeed, the post title is misleading. If you just regged the domain, park it right away and see whether you get any traffic. If not, cancel the domain within the taste period. Due to the low search results and no results from OVT (which may not be accurate) i'd say - reg.fee at best.

You would be very lucky to get any good one word IDN in any of the main languages.

As already pointed out this only gets 1700 at Google - unfortunately you have wasted your money - IDN's are going to huge very soon see here - but do more research

However, even though Royalé is the way the french would ideally pronounce it (with the accent on the e), the term has crossed over into english and is used very frequently (remember Battle Royale anyone?). Unfortunately, its mostly written without the accent on the e (i.e., Royale).

This is proved by the search results:

190,000,000 for "Royal"
30,200,000 for "Royale" (the one without the accent)
&
1,760 for "Royalé"

so this essentially means that your name is of very little value, unless you happen to find a french collector.

Like most foreign words that have passed into the English language (like Royalé), the accent marks are highly used. Consider that they released Casino Royale without an accent mark proves the same. The better english alphabet IDNs would be the words that aren't used so frequently in english, say the german IDNs
