What does this mean?

'results are unknown at this time'

It shows when I search for some domains. Thanks

It may mean that the domain are in the expiring cycle/ in transfer mode.

I think it is the result of a timeout when checking domain availabilty. Try again later or use another whois service.

As Kate put it, it is usually from the domain's WhoIs server itself not answering. PIR's (the .org registry) is especially known for this problem

well you see sometimes it can take a long time in deleting the domains and then it comes back so it can take quite a period of time
