REQ-Logo – Logo for Blum Interactive Media - $30

Prize: $30 PayPal

Contest End Date & Time: Nov 6, 2009, 6:00 PM PST

Size Requirements: The logo must look good both on a business card and on my website. This probably means two different sizes. View the site here: bluminteractivemedia.com.

Color Requirements: First make it look right on the website. The business card can then be designed around the logo color scheme from the site. White background is probably best. Important note: all the website colors you see now can be CHANGED if you feel the logo looks best in a particular color.

General Requirements: This is a logo for my consulting business, which provides outsourced product management services. The logo should probably include an icon and text, but an all text treatment could work – please be creative! The text should be first letter caps or possibly all caps, but not all lowercase. The logo should be all on one line, so it can go across the web page.

If there is an icon, it should reflect the business vision: "Blum Interactive Media specializes in short and long-term outsourced product management. We have over 20 years experience building product plans, creating specifications and crafting strategy."

Additional Information: "Blum Interactive Media" should be separate words, not joined with a .com at the end.

Hi all,

Some last minute feedback before the contest closes tomorrow:

crs: could you stretch the text out so it covers more of the header space?

umxca: the logo doesn't fill enough of the header space; there's too much white area. Can you make the logo itself larger and/or add a design element on the right side of the space on the website, please?

koncepts: I like the example 1-A the best. Here's a thought: can you make the squares slightly more rounded in this one, so that they more resemble I stylized "B". Keep the colors and arrows the same.

umcxa: I like the logo being larger but the water background isn't working for me. And the icon on the right is fine for a financial services company but not my company which builds product specifications. Can you try again?

Hi koncepts: a few final requests before the contest is closed.
1. I like the second version you sent above better (the one with the square rather than more rounded icon)
2. If you look at my website, you'll see that the space for the header area is actually not as tall as you've given for this logo. Can you send me another example that would fit better into that space?
3. Could you make another example where the reflection is just slightly less?
4. Can you make me an example where the logo is flush left in the header area rather than centered?
5. The way my software works is that it adds the text I have shown on the site currently "Product Management | Product Planning and Strategy | Social Media" - can you create another example showing how this would look with the current logo?
6. Finally, I need this logo to work on business cards too. Could you lay it out on a business card size so I can see how it will look there?

Don't delete any of the current examples so I can compare them all.

Hi the icon depicts 4 arrows interlocking (interacting) in a circular motion. Can change to 4 diff colors etc. problem is I might not make deadline as I have to be somewhere else for the day.

The height is same as your header. The gradient effect may give a feel that the height is more... !!!!

This was a hard one to decide...there were so many great designs. Everyone did a fantastic job and I am very impressed by the quality of the graphic artists who participate in this forum. I have another logo I'll need done for my wife's business...I'll post that soon!

For the Blum Interactive Media logo, I am choosing the design by koncepts. Congratulations! Please PM me outside this thread and we'll finalize which of the designs you sent works best and where to send the PayPal payment.
