[REQ LOGO and ICON] for virtual store - US$ 50

Hi folks,

I have an online store called MercadoDeluxe ("Mercado" means "Market"). The site is this http://www.mercadodeluxe.com.br

I need logo and icon for it. The ones in use now are temporary and I don't like them!

Contest End Date: April 25th 27th, 2011

Idea: I want a logo that has a "Deluxe feeling" on it. I has to transmit seriousness (not too much) and reliability.

The icon must be simple and easy to memorize (but withou losing the "Deluxe feeling" mentioned above), since I will use it on facebook fanpage, twitter and other social networks.

Colors: It has to match the colors of the website. You can look at the temporary logo that is in use now ...

I appreciate your logo, but there are some minor issues, like:

1) It doesn't match the color scheme of the site.
2) The font is too plain. I would like a more charming font.With it and some visual effects the Deluxe feeling can be reach...
3) The icon is very similar to some I have seen out there. I want something unique. Your avatar in this forum has the spirit of the thing I am looking for...

Your logo is pretty good! man...
I liked the font and the colors. The bar code also looked good!

Here are few suggestions:

1) The text above "MecadoDeluxe" is "Últimas novidades . Primeira qualidade"

2) Could you substitute the random chars below the bar code in the icon for something like "mercadodeluxe", and/or try some round icon as a second option for us

3) Could you apply some visual effects on the logo, like the "reflex" gradient in this image fonts: http://www.bodybuilding.com/img/assault-808x302.jpg ("new green" part)

Wow, this contest is becoming more and more spectacular! The decision will be difficult!

umxca #2 and #3 : Good improvement! The colors now are more concise with the site. The gradient effect was well implemented!

Suggestions: (1) Logo: Make the gradient a little bit more strong/visible. (2) Tagline : Subistitue the comma in the tagline for a small circle (not a dot); captalize the fist letter of each word. The first letter is "Ú" instead of "U"(3) Icon: the 3rd entry pleased me more. I am wondering if you could use a sphere as icon container and try a simbol that has the M+D idea but is not only m and d chars together

Suggestions: (1) Logo: Use font colors that match the site scheme (blue, orange), the names "mercado" and "deluxe" must be well distinguished one from another. Don't forget our tagline... (2) Icon: it's excelent, just try to put it inside some round container - some kind of sphere may look nice

1) The names "Mercado" and "Deluxe" does not need to be aside, they can be one above the other... Feel free to do as you wish

The logos and icons are becoming more and more impressive! I am sad that I'll have to choose one!

Ross860 #1: Very good color setting! The MD idea for the icon looked good! (I liked more the second struture)
suggestions: (1) I would like to see this design with a more charming font, with the names "Mercado" and "Deluxe" in blue and orange (2) How about putting this icon inside some sphere container?

nguyen_huy_hai #1 I like the reflex in the second sphere, but the symbol inside the third and fourth one of yours are better.
suggestions: The names "mercado" and "deluxe" have to be done outside the icon too, you can try following the guidelines that I posted above, in previous feedback

dlight #3 Nice improvement, man! The names one above the other realy looked nice! The icon is very good, too!
Suggestions: maybe some outline borders using the other colors of the scheme and a litle bit of reflex over the surface of the sphere could add a plus to the icon. The colors are a bit dark; try then more open, like in the temporary logo of the site...

gooddesigner #1 Very tough logo! You are surely more than "good"...
suggestions: (1)The colors are a little too dark, try this blue more like the site's temporary logo blue. (2) Invert the weight of the fonts for "mercado" and "deluxe", "deluxe" must be more evidenced than "mercado" (3) You simbol is very, very good! Is it possible to do such a thing with "MD" instead of only "M"?
