Type of Contest : Banner design and matching Icons
Prize : USD$150 via paypal
Contest End Date & Time : Friday March 27, 2009 at 12 midnight ( US Eastern Time )
Size Requirements : Banner 1150px by 240px Icons 95px by 91px
Color Requirements : MUST go well with a light gray or even a orange colored theme ( not decided yet ) background website

General Requirements :
Please use photoshop for this design.
This banner will be used in a website www.OrangePingPong.com
This site sells table tennis equipments like ping pong paddle, ping pong rubber, balls, attire ( shirts ), and anything thats ping pong.

I want the design to be original, creative and with a "wow" effect. All artwork must be original and not from the web.

I'm pretty much open to any design idea. An idea that first came to my mind is using an orange color ping pong ball(s) and run the design with that theme. Or 2 characters playing ping pong?

The design should include the domain name OrangePingPong.com and a slogan : Pushing Ping Pong to the next higher level
Both the domain name and slogan must be on each own separate layers.

All font files used must be included as well.

Icons:
6 Icons needed for use as image links to other parts of the website. Size is 95px by 91px
No wordings needed on icons, but graphics should be self-explainatory.

-Ping Pong Paddles
-Ping Pong Rubbers
-Ping Pong Attire ( shirts and shorts )
-Ping Pong DVDs
-Ping Pong miscs ( all others )
-Clearance or Special offer

Design must be consistence with the banner design.

Thanks for your fast entry.
First the color scheme looks fantastic.
The domain name's wording and color is good.
As for the slogan, please change the font and color
To make it stand out a little. Also the gray dots in the
Background might needs to be replaced with something,
Just doesn't go well with the overall design.

I'm a little disappointed that there is only 1 entry so far.
I have held contest before and the responses have always
Been great.

Zepia, to avoid extending the time of the contest, you
may have to submit other design as well.

O, how is the icons coming along?

Sure, thanks for the quick feedback. Anything in specific yo would like to see to the actual logo? As for the background (1150x240) is pretty big, are there going to be "log-in" or "search" functions in it? Or just a header image?

No log-in or search will be on the banner.
I have an idea but not sure if I can
effectivle communicate to you all.

It will be great to use simple brush stroke
to simulate someone playing ping pong with
an orange ping pong ball.

This will be great to see as I can also
use that logo on my business card.

Sammy, the icons looks great. Just 1 small
change. I realized that misc is not very self
explanatory, so for that icon can you just
Put the word "misc" follow by the rows of
dots on the icon?

I'm eager to see what you have for the headed.
