Reputation & Stars Sticky

Hello guys!

Reading all the recent "What do the stars mean?" and "What are those green boxes?" threads, I was wondering if it's possible to make a sticky at the top of the "NamePros Info & Suggestions" forum outlining the stars and the reputation boxes and how they work?

I think it would be a great help to the forum's newcomers and old ones too, who aren't familiar with the system :tu: .

What are your thoughts?

Something needs to be done about them so people will understand what they are. I also like the other idea of when you place your mouse over it, text will appear. Both are good ideas! :imho:

I love the mouse over because still to this day I mouse over them thinking something will pop up and nothing ever does

A Guide to "Using NamePros" needed

Most of us really learn about forums by experience, trudging through tons of threads. You know you're a veteran of a board when you spiel off an answer without thinking about it. I like that many members here are often thinking about how to do even the simple things better.

The Confirmation Email and Welcome Center Sticky suggestion includes the idea of a Quicklink to "Using NamePros".

vBulletin is great, but a Quicklink to graphical web pages not in the vB mode, even a brief slide show, that walks users through the mechanics of User CPs, postbits, posting and the like would go a long way to making new NPers knowledgeable right out of the gate.

Could be something virtually every major forum would want to copy - if it's done right. And (no, I'm not sucking up), if anyone can do it right, the folks here can. Dibs on a copy.

I think a graphical guide would be awesome :tu: ! I'm willing to try working on one; I'd need what to put in though.

I agree; I have that thread bookmarked since the day it started :tu: ! Has alot of info, and it could be stickied or a new sticky could be placed will all the information in there :] .
