Vibe // gentic (.) com

Price: 500$
Venue: Atom

First offer was 100$. I gave the team a floor price of 500$ and sold at floor a couple of weeks later.

Name was registered about 11 weeks ago for less than 3$, so happy with the ROI.

Unfortunately for me I was playing around with Atom/Afternic so ate a large commission. On the bright side it was a handreg >10 months.

This sale came through at Afternic BIN price yesterday. I see that agent Josh B. is listed as helping with the sale - thank you! He also was listed with one of my .cc sales last fall. The Afternic process was very smooth, less than 24 hours from notification of sale until payout received. Name moved to GoDaddy after transfer.
RemodelCC-minimal.jpg

I had lander set to Atom Sapphire, so 25% Afternic commission. Hold time: I acquired the name about 16 months ago (I had registered it 2024-2027 at Dynadot). I use ExpiredDomains to spot attractive dropping .cc single words.

What did I see in name? 'Remodel' is a term in more than 8000 active companies according to OpenCorporates, so lots of potential buyers. The term is taken in 151 TLDs and about 77,000 total domains. Term has decent search volume and relatively strong CPC.

I like .cc when the 'better' TLDs not readily available or much higher prices. In this case, .com does not have operational lander, .net gives security warning, .co goes to white GD may be available lander, .org is developed, .io priced about $90k, .ai at BB in 6 figures. Numerous new extension names listed in term, some nice combos. I list my .cc at BIN pricing at the major places including the registrar to make the process easy for buyer.

I price strong single word .cc in range $1400 to $2500. In this case, the GV valuation was slightly higher, and I deliberately kept my price just below that; not sure if that influenced the buyer. For context, this is the sixth highest price single English word .cc on NameBio in past 12 months.

The sale was submitted and has been approved at NameBio. I list sales in .cc under my Memorable.cc brand there.
