But that way isn't BB or SH a better place to list branded domains and not afternic(which should be for domains with metrics)? As a beginner I'm trying to study hard but still have some confusions, hope you can understand..

Brandable marketplaces are much overrated in my opinion. I don't like their terms so I don't use them anymore. Also too many listed names, high noise vs signal.

Afternic, Sedo and your own landers can sell brandables just fine. You need to pay more attention to discussions on NP.

I always follow your posts and they are very inspiring. I analyzed the domain for some metrics and can see it does not have any Search volume, does not have other Tlds taken, Does not show any type in traffic, and does not have any seo value(RD), so can you please throw some light re what you saw in this domain to register it? Stats are no indication a name will actually sell. Relying soley on stats is just as foolish as never investigating stats. Many factors come into play. Only ones who care about stats more than the domain name are domainers imo.

After-sales note:

In hindsight, I realize this was a nice brandable sold for cheap. For some reason I didn't see the niche but I see it now, for example gifts or something. No wonder they jumped on it right away when I discounted it (for cashflow). Anyway for this to sell in its retail range (low to mid xxxx) it would probably need to be listed on SH/BB etc and I don't use any of those anymore. (reason in short is - their terms)

Good part is: There's plenty of this where it came from. Also I don't attach to names, and this one will pay for others. And most of all, lessons learned, eyeballs open and more coffee before pricing names. Actually I see even more brandable avenues right now.

Note: This is one of the cases where I renew a domain without the intention of using retail price (not in my xxxx range stock). I often renew domains like this in order to avoid a loss, when I am sure someone will pick it up. Fortunately I have good instinct at that.

Also this has been at clearance including NP (like many other of my expiring names) but nobody wanted it.
