The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Agree, lots of their logos look simple and boring. I usually set the logo price to $300. I asked them once to change the logo on one of my name, because it looked horrible.

It definitely is boring. I know it's not easy to make logos and especially having to wait til the domain sells to get paid but I would expect something better than that.

Can't wait to see what my logo will look like. Starting to think I should've set it at $300 to get some quality.

Don't get too excited. I think even at $100 they should ask for feedback or get some input. I'm not saying make it a protracted affair but even on fiverr you get input and changes for $5

If I were you I would just use them as an authority - once they have accepted your domain, you could use your own prospecting to find the buyers - the chunk that they take out of your sales is ridiculus.

BeautifulFlowers dot com - $6,500
When I google those keywords I don't even see that many potential end-users. And I would certainly not expect it to sell for $6,500. Since when is selling flowers such a profitable business? I understand it has 49,500 exact searches but still, this sale is beyond me.

This is not domaining, this is magic.

No?

How about every flower company and flower store in the world?
The term Beautiful Flowers is a great marketing domain for any flower business.
Don't think like a domainer, think like an end user in the flower business would.

The more domainers who think like you just leaves more good domains for the rest of us ;)

Was thinking about how to formulate my response but you hit hit right on.

Great sale (presumably to a laser targetted end user) of a very nice name!

Most of us women folk know that flowers are a multi-billion dollar business. They actually got that at a good price.

I don't doubt Federer... But I would like to know where to get such drops and how to navigate. I tried on my own but cant find any good one without horrible listed domain names.

Just to clarify. I wasn't complaining or arguing. Just thinking aloud and analyzing/asking myself the question why I don't see such a value in the domain. Because obviously I am doing something wrong here.

And I kinda forgot that there are really big corporations involved in the flower industry. Not just small stores.

Anyway, the post was unnecessary.

just remember, it takes years and deep pockets to build a brand.

it takes 5mins to buy a meaningful one.

The buyer was "JustFlowers".

I am usually not the type of guy who jumps on the bandwagon, but am always looking for opportunities and was somehow inspired by our conversation about flowers domains and the recent sale of federer, i did a search run and found this .com from the drops and took it:

PersonalisedFlowers

Personalised vs personalized
http://ezinearticles.com/?Personalised-or-Personalized,-You-Decide&id=6143532

After checking these sites

floric.co.uk/product-categories/111/personalised-flowers/

PersonalizedFlowers.com

blueandblooms.co.uk/weddings

etc.

I decided to reg the name. Will probably have more success in UK than US, but lets see :)

Hello... Please what service would be good to backorder a .co.uk domain name? I would like to pay just the backorder fee and not be involved in a bidding war.
