Thanks :) It was nice to get the first one out of the way and go through the transfer process once.

The name has excellent search volume, but as it is a two word hack I was happy to let it go without too much negotiating back and forth. I think the price was pretty fair.

Incredible sale! I see you had it listed with brandbucket.com. I've been thinking about listing with them, would you recommend them?

What's so incredible? He should have added a 0 to the end of that price. Great domain, brandable, marketable, short, easy to pronounce...$25k - $2500 was a DEALEE

You should've bought it then ;). It's a nice name but $25k would be a long wait imo. Try and buy it off the owner for $5k since it's worth 25k.

The buyer most likely had a business plan modeled around the name - DEALEE could be the next Groupon. I have no interest in the name but when someone wants to buy your domain you always have to think that they plan on using it in a way that will drive revenue. Granted, we dont know how the negotiations proceeded, but if the initial offer was say, $500 and then you countered with $50k - you have much more room to work with then if your initial counter is $5000. The point is, you never know what you can get unless you ask.

Thats not how it works @ brandbucket. As a seller you submit a name and IF they accept your name to be listed, they suggest a price. You can accept the price or make it 10% cheaper or 10% higher. But you can't do whatever you want and list it for 50K or something.

In addition you can preset a max. discount 10% (thats the room for negotiations). If the buyer clicks buy it now, you sold it. You can't back out and start new negotiations. If buyer wants to negotiate, brandbucket can use your preseted 10% for negotiations.

I think its a good system. But its hard to get names accepted from Brandbucket.

I think 2.5K was a good price for both.
Who knows how deep the pockets of a buyer are.
With these type of names one shouldn't be too greedy, since the potential buyer could decide to move to another alternative or alternative spellings, etc. - Maybe buyer would have paid even more, maybe not.
Its always easy to say "what if...", after a sale is done.

Most likely the new owner thought he could make a quick flip for profit and took a chance. Seen it before.

They contacted me - we've been going for a few months - I wasn't really keen to sell the domain; it's good they saw the potential as much as I did. It looks great developed! A win for all parties and the .co extension.

Definitely a great sale. The .CO surprises you everyday. But I gave up on it sometime ago. Congratulations
