Good luck with your sales!

So, you took his $350 offer and bumped it to $1499 and they didn't hesitate? I am curious, where did you come up with $1499? Advise here on NP?

Also, congratulations! Your hooked now!!

Also, congratulations! Your hooked now!!

I asked some members here how much I should counter with, $1499 seemed fair. Few hours after I submitted my counter offer, I received an email saying:

"Your asking price for FISSION.IO is higher than the $350 maximum offer amount that our client has authorized. We have asked our client to consider if they would be willing to accept $1499 USD."

The email had further instructions on how I can still accept the initial $350 offer or submit another counter offer. An hour later I received another email:

"Congratulations!! The buyer has completed payment for your $1499 USD sale of FISSION.IO"

Thanks @Tank

Woot! I made my second end-user sale recently :). But no credit goes to me. It goes to Baseballworld. The NP community is truly awesome -- so many nice and awesome people who are irritated but willing to help when noobs come to them.

It was about a month ago, I was kinda down about my domain handregs and closeout buys. Baseball comes in with a nice smile and felt bad for me so he said, "I don't do this kinda thing often, but I got a domain for ya that'll sell for lots. Want it? I'll PM."

And he did. It was K/ey/word/Planner/s.com

Like a ray of light of hope I perked up, reg'd it at GD, then promised Baseball if it ever sold I'd give him 50%. He didn't ask for anything, but I would be evil if I didn't offer him some kind of cut.

Hand reg price: ~$14, didn't use a coupon because Baseball said it would be taken soon. So I rushed.

I immediately put it on Flippa for $9. 30 day listing. $500 reserve.

3 days before the auction was over, this guy bids $200, he sees the reserve isn't met so he bids $220.

I contact him through Flippa's message system and told him what the reserve was. He said he'd meet me halfway at $350. I told him ok and lowered the reserve to $350, and he immediately bid.

After the auction ended, dude pays within 30 mins, and I do the account change. Dude was that eager. (whether a chargeback happens or not... yeah... so... eh).

After the Flippa and Paypal commissions, Baseball and I got $150ish.

Summary:
Handreg: ~$14
Sale: $350
Net profit for me: $150ish.

NP is a great community :) thanks to everyone for being great and helpful since 2004'ish! Glad I joined this forum!

Hope one day I can give back to the community!

(Hopefully we get less scammers too!)
