Congrats on your domain sale. How many emails did you send out per domain name?

Congrats on your domain sale. How many emails did you send out per domain?

I send out 20-30 emails sometimes less/domain.
I always say its not the quantity its the quality which is why I spend lots of time handpicking reg fee domains to flip.
I have lost my share of money with .mobi and .tel domains!!

This is really inspirational. I should get on and start contacting end users, I keep thinking they will come to me but that has not been the case so far.

Sometimes I have a feeling that endusers totally don't know about my existence :)

ttt in the cc TLD sold for $300 /4.cn
Also sold two other generic keywords in .ws for $1k both, private sale. .ws has still a market, it is worth getting some generic keywords and keep them, the renewal is only ~$10, there is a good chance to sell them for $xxx

I'll continue to post only my sales that have something unusual to them:
Grape
Skin
Powder

Another nice case of a forward-thinking domain paying off. I take note of new phrases, products, tech I see in the news, in books, stores, sites, like you all do too. I run across dozens or hundreds each day, and it takes some canny and quick research, as well as a solid gut-feeling, to pick winners. Winners are domains that are worth reg fee right now but if that item/term takes off in popularity, domains that become worth something more later on.

For every 10 or so forward-thinking names I reg on spec, and let drop a year or two later, I'll sell one for a decent price. Saw this product on Dragon's Den a year ago, felt strongly about its future, regged the generic name for it.
Had an offer for $175 months ago, then a different one for $500, then this latest one for $500, which I negotiated up to $700 (they hardlined and wouldn't go higher) and accepted. Might have gotten more in a year or two, but a bird in the hand...

Buyer was great; they even signed up for a Paypal account in order to pay me, rather than taking some other route they were more familiar with. I offered to walk them thru an escrow transaction but they were fine with shooting me the cash without escrow.

Private sale, buyer contacted me thru email on the minisite I had on there.

Good luck with your forward-thinking names :)
