yes, I was one of those that told you that you could have problems selling domains by being Nigerian. Unfortunately, you will not know if that is the reason when you don't sell a domain. You see, many people are prejudiced or are afraid of doing business with foreigners, specially when you come from a place where there are a lot of tales and horror stories.

Now, you should not take this personally. that's the way things are.

Last week I sold in .com,

Popular Wines over at Flippa for $3375

I actually listed it 3 times and it never hit my reserve of $4500 but after the last auction ended I made a counter offer of $4500 to the last bidder and he countered with $2250 and we both agreed to split the difference at $3375
I think he got a great deal.

Also, as a side note on a sale I had a few weeks ago with Jackpot Jackpot I wanted to let all those know who usually ignore those $60 offers on Sedo, don't do that.
A $60 offer is how that sale started out.
They offered $60
I counter with $12500
We went back and forth for a couple of days and settled at $3500

Don't ignore those lousy $60 offers!

Oh well, all I can say is that next time, try to encourage people... dont kill hope, but keep it alive in individuals because you dont know where they are coming from.

I remember getting some hash comments from ibidu too such that I couldn't come on here for several months and even when I do, I dont comment until I met LungioMike who explain some critical points to me and that helped me made my first $500 online. The rest, as they say, is history!

Dont remind people of what they already know because to 'we', life is like that everyday, the economy, lack of power supply, insecurity etc is enough to discourage us... BUT we don't give up just because of that.

I have just completed an auction for another domain and will report when I complete the transfer.

Infomoney, please PM when you see this. It is urgent! I am off to camp for a compulsory service.

Congrats on your sales. Being Nigerian will not affect you in any way in this line of business as far as domains are concerned. I don't trust Chinese when it comes to marketing products because of 3 bad experiences that cost me a lot of money. But I would buy a domain from a chinese because trust is never an issue as long as Escrow or Sedo is involved. Without them, I wouldn't trust anyone no matter what country they are from.:gl:
