This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

Please use the Like and Thank links on a post to indicate that you like it or are thankful for it being shared.

Do not post only, "great sale" or similar as this doesn't contribute to the thread. (Don't reply for the sole purpose of complimenting.)
  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

I've sold lots of domains the same day or week with Godaddy. If you have an account with them you can transfer between accounts whenever you want.

If the person doesn't have an account at Godaddy I explain that it's easy and free to setup.

Ditto :)

Ditto. Seems most of my buyers already have a GoDaddy account, and when they don't I offer to set one up for them for free.

Most of the time if someone wants to transfer the domain elsewhere it's because it's at a smaller registrar (Dynadot, Enom, Moniker, etc). I believe it's safe to say that GoDaddy is the most popular registrar.

Good job man. Mind me asking what you use in your subject line?

I put the keywords of the domain or "domain.com available for purchase".

Nice sale. Did you email the enduser or vice versa?

I have been emailing endusers for my domains and have had no success as of late. I am barely getting responses for my emails. Thanks for sharing your success with us. I need to read some good sales to keep me positive ;)

Very nice. I've had a couple of sales like that. I guess some people don't check their email or they're trying to play the waiting game to see if you offer it for less.

Thanks for sharing with us and hopefully I will have a sale to share sooner than later :(

Same here... I've bought plenty of new domains since my last sale, but I don't do any development. Maybe I should start learning how to develop websites.

pretty easy! grab wordpress platform, premium free theme and hire a content writer to do some good articles and you are good to go with a seo guy to get it to rank well :)

To develop sites is one thing and to make good money from them is another.

The majority of mini-sites you see here would hardly make any money consistently or anything to write home about. But this does not mean you should not have a go at it - in fact I believe all domainers should be able to develop at least some sites for themselves.

On the plus side, if you manage to develop a good business model for building sites and monetizing them then you could rinse & repeat which could then make the whole process a lot more rewarding.

No, I mailed him once. Than in 2 month he asked me what is my price - I told him mid xxx eur. He didn't reply, than I put a fixed price at Sedo - and he purchased it.

So he must have known a bit about domains as he checked out Sedo's auction or did you give him the link?
