Hi,

I have a few domain names that I would prefer to rent/lease out than sell.

I can't find anywhere or site that seems to cater for this.

Any ideas?

Thanks

There was leasethis.com but it doesn't seem to show any domains presently.
TBH I think the market for leasing domains is almost nil, unless you have very premium domains.

Thanks for the response. I see what you mean about the market. But if there were more sites leasing domains and people were more aware that you could lease premium domain names as opposed to buying I think it would be a great market.
Yeah leasethis.com weren't very helpful.

:talk:

you don't need a site that caters

just list that info in your advertisement, that the domains are available for rent or lease

describe in some detail of lease/rent options, whether it is "open-end" or rent to own.

down payments, interest, late fee's, dns, etc.

write your own contract, have it notarized and mail copies to buyer and have them mail signed notarized copy to you.

deal done!

Thanks for that biggie.

I'm pretty new to all this. When you say advertisement is that a general advertisement or can you recommend a site to sell domains in such a way.

I've looked into sites like sedo and go daddy but I don't think much of them.

Good to know about leasethis.com

you can write your own "1 page" web advertisement in notepad or wordpress that resolves from the domain you wish to lease/rent. so when someone types in the name or clicks link from SE, they will see your ad for that specific domain.

you can use free hosting services for that if you wish

Thanks again.
I'll probably give it a try. I'll also probably have to supplement the page with general paid advertising to push traffic though.
