I had a domain expired at enom this month. I purchased a renewal and then transferred the domain to GoDaddy for two years. The expiration date should be 2016, however it shows 2015.
Enom told me: "The reason behind this is a registry policy, the domain was expired and you renewed the domain, at this point you would need to wait 45 days to transfer the domain in order to get the year extension, Because you did not wait the 45 days after renewing an expired domain to transfer the domain you are not credited the additional year. So when you transferred the domain and purchased 2 years you would of only been credited one year as it was under 45 days."
In all my years domaining I've never heard of such a thing. Can someone confirm if this is correct?
