Renew Domain Name

If I'm gonna renew the domain name that i own, usually how much is it ?
More expensive than buy new one ? If so , why?

ANd if somebody backorder my domain name, are my renewal price more higher ?

All of the registrars put the renewal prices on the front page with the registration charges...

Just because it's backordered doesn't make it more expensive...unless your registrar is really...uh, unscrupulous.
