I know this is a sensitive topic, but I must ask someone.

In religion class I have been taught that God created everything and he created everything good.

My question is. How was the devil created and why is he not good if God created everything and everything good.

Second question is

I was also taught God planned everything. So God planned for people to do bad? Also he planned for Eve to eat the apple?

Those were just two questions I keep asking myself over and over again. I even asked my religion teacher and her answers dont answer anything. She just makes up something that comes to her head. I would be glad if someone could answer or clearify things for me.

He created everything good, yes. However, he created them with "free will" as well.

Satan got jealous, and tried to put himself on God's throne, so therefore was cast to earth, where he tempted the sinless (at that time) Adam and Eve to eat the apple.

Think that explains it.

this is meant as everything "Ethereal", not hyper dimensional... such as angels..etc. nor does it mean man. man being created with free will (as angels) to decide our own fate.

I was also taught God planned everything. So God planned for people to do bad? Also he planned for Eve to eat the apple?

this is incorrect. When in Doubt, consult the ultimate authority and ask the claiment to "show you" where it says that in the Bible.
Anyways, While he didn't "plan" everything.. he does know the outcome. to grasp this.. you really need to think in a 4th dimensional mindset.. a task well suited to people under 12.. but learnable by older folks as well lol

NVM. Ok so why cant God just destroy the devil then if he causes so many bad things to happen? He is God. I mean he has the power to do anything. Also if we had Free Will and there were no devil then nothing we would do would be wrong right? Im assuming.

Not really cause then God planned for that to happen

your setting up your question.
he didnt plan for it to happen, he KNEW it would happen.

Dont load your sentences.

To clarify
So God planned for people to do bad? Also he planned for Eve to eat the apple?

No, he didn't "plan" for people to do bad. We have free will. However, he knows everything that did, is, and will happen, but didn't do anything to prevent it, as that wouldn't be really "free will" would it?

We have free will. If someone "forced" us to love them, would that really be love at all?

Also if we had Free Will and there were no devil then nothing we would do would be wrong right?

lets put it this way:

your parents give you the ability to make decisions and your own choise correct?
does this mean nothing you do in their eyes is wrong?

your very much convaluted here... its kinda funny.. but indicative of todays youth too :(

He could. And he will confine him one day for a thousand years, after the judgement, I believe. After the thousand years, It reads that he will be freed again. What I believe this is for, is that it also reads that no-one will live past a hundred years that doesn't take God as their father, believe in him, etc during the thousand years. Such as babies that survived through it, children you might have, etc.

He is giving us free will to do what we want.

Technically, if there wasn't a Devil, and that he never fell from Heaven, I'm sure that we wouldn't be on earth as we know it right now. I quite frankly do not know where we would be.

Also, if he just destroyed the Devil on a whim, it would basically destroy the propesys of the Bible, his word.

He knows what it going to happen, and he will win in the end, we just have to trust in that.

Very welcome. If you need anything else, you can ask one of us... I'm not too sure how fond of -RJ- is of religious threads.

This is the first one I have seen on the forum, myself.

Logic would hold that we would still be in Eden.

Just one question for Lee and Steve.

If God created the world in 7 days,

Day 1: God created the heavens and the earth

Day 2: God divided the waters from the sky

Day 3: God created the grass, and the plants and the trees

Day 4: God created day and night and the stars

Day 5: God created every living creature under the sea, that crawled and walked upon the land and every winged fowl that flew in the sky.

Day 6: God made the beasts on the earth. God made man and woman in His own image.

Day 7: And God sanctified and made Holy this day and rested.

If God created the heavens and the earth, the rain, and grass plants and animals on the first 3 days, how did he manage to make night and day on the 4th day? Wouldnt he have had to make night and day at the start?

:-/

ahhh man.. now your into my field here :)

OK, Quantum Physics mixed with cosmology (History of the Universe, if you will)

(A) 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
So follow :)
In this section, the Hebrew is stating the Universe being created. take apart the text and you have God creating the Base elements. It would take pages and pages to go fully into this, But I recommend you pick up a Strongs Concordance and a Bible and jump into the ancient language that it was originally written in :)
This is more the Big Bang event happening than the Earth being assembled.

2The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was[a] on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

this is one that I had soooo much trouble with. It took me literally 4 years to find this answer in evaluation of the text.
let me backtrack a bit. I spent several years analyzing the ancient texts looking for the "blue prints" of the Universe (I'm convinced they are written in the Old Testament). I found, literally..everything and every angle of the "Big Bang" or Creation Event.. except for one thing.. Hydrogen.
Thats a HUGE problem because Hydrogen is the most common element in the Known Universe.
Finally it occured to me that this portion of the Blue Print was hidden in plain site.. in this part you mention (seperating the Waters from the Waters). In the ancient text, there is actually a seperation between the two words of Water, thereby making them nearly two individual things.

fascinating..to me at least :)

to sumise your final statement since it rounds up the other days mentioned/in question.

one of the most interesting theories of the Ancient Earth is the "Water Blanket" theory. (this Is not my theory, unlike the above noted thoughts)
It is in this theory that a cloud layer covered the earth thereby blocking off radiation until the ozon layer was formed... to allow life to enter the picture.

the Water Blanket Theory is also related to Dinosaurs and Dragons (if you will).. but further on in the Bible, so it's moot here.

theres alot more and you've simplified it to gross negligence..but the general "gist" is there :) (stuff like the earth rising from the sea's is missed as an example ;)).. but it's truly truly amazing..and genesis 1:1-31 were what brought me "to the Lord".

It's also interesting to note: Monday is the only day that God did not declare as "Good"; Coincidence?
Anyways, the creation of stars, sans the WB theory comes out to the

I studied Philosophy and Ethics for A Level and I can tell you that alot of these questions were ones that came up in my class.

There is no answer to them, at least not one that any man can give. Our minds cannot comprehend things that massive.

Unrelated to the main topic perhaps, but still relevant IMHO, and something I want to say....

I'm often troubled and frustrated when man is so quick to take credit for the 'good' things in this world, and so quick to question or blame God (or his very existence) for the 'bad' things.
