RIL, a hugely popular conglomerate based out of India, is moving from its .COM domain name RIL.com, to its own new gTLD .Jio

Affinity Names Inc, a subsidiary of RIL has applied for multiple gTLDs, including the .JIO brand name.
The company plans to use about 200 second-level domains in the first year, 400 and 600 in the second and third year respectively.

That would not allow them to do what they want to do which is brand .JIO
