was just wondering. If I go onto (for example) godaddy, and search for a domain, but do not purchase it immediately, is there anything to stop godaddy looking through their search logs, and snapping up any domains not purchased?
My thoughts exactly...DJ-Sound said:sure registars could do that, but you have to understand the massive amount of searches they get, they would rather keep good domains from dropping for theirselves than dig through tons of search logs to find a single domain... It is ususally domainers who get the same idea who register domains your intrested in.
Just never wait, as soon as you find a good domain register it!

I have stopped searching at Network Solutions. I don't think its them, but my guess is that they have customers who they must notify when NS sees certain names being researched. One of the ones taken, that I went back to buy the next day was taken by a Brazilian company. Too much to just be coincidental.
