I am planning an upcoming site that I think could very well get on the bad side of Youtube, even though it would actually end up helping their popularity.
I don't want my website to be shut down, however, and I know Youtube is trademarked in the United States?
Would registering a .TLD in another country where Youtube is not trademarked provide me with protection? Would the protection apply to the .com and .net domains, or just the specific .TLD of that country?
Again, I'm not making anything that will harm Youtube or that could be considered illegal. These days, Youtube's lawyers will send you a cease and desist for anything!
