.US domains.US domains
Finding a registrar that asks as the person living in that country. They do however charge a very hefty fee. Try 101domains.com if you are willing to pay outrageous amounts.

It would cost a good chunk of $ to reg them all, is your name/site gonna be that good to make it worth while.

Not sure which of those on the link Tippy gave are residency-restricted. But you can go to a list found here and look-up the rules at the root-registry for each on any domain extension you are interested in

Some cctlds like .de requires you to have a street address in that country in order to reg. But there are others like .bz and .cc are available to anyone. As far as I know currently you can reg .es domains even if you're not living in Spain as .es reg restrictions has been lifted recently. From now on .es domains will be available to register by anyone and for any purpose.

A lot of you are Already registering ccTLD's and not living in that area or country and don't even realise that they are ccTLD's
.ws .cc .am .fm .tv .tk are all ccTLD's and are all regged by people who don't live there.
Indeed most people would be hard pressed to even find these countries on a map

Some ccTLD's have some restrictions but there are a lot of registrars & resellers where you can register the ones that don't. Registerfly, godaddy enom et al
my own reseller site list over 50 countries and a lot of other resellers are the same.

The main ccTLD for .au (Australia) is Com.au and is very restricted even for Aiustralians ,so that is one you will not be able to register.
