Registered an already registered domain

I have just recently (less then 24 hours) registered a domain name.
It was available at godaddy.com so I took it.

I then looked at the whois and found it was owned by someone else:
domain_dateregistered: 1997-06-16T00:00:00+12:00
domain_datebilleduntil: 2007-08-01T00:00:00+12:00
domain_datelastmodified: 2007-07-01T23:47:01+12:00
domain_delegaterequested: yes

Godaddy has not said anything yet. Does this mean I don't have it?

Whats the whoIS say for contact details? Yours? Is the domain in your account?

Call up Godaddy and find out the whole story.

It means someone else has the domain name.

Unfortunately, with many of the ccTLDs and even a few gTLDs, Godaddy's system isnt quite live. If it doesnt get an immediate successful notification from the registrar, it gives you a successful order, and continues to try to register it. If that fails, theyll send you a notice saying the registration failed (youll get it soon!)
