Redirecting WWW to non-WWW

I have a wordpress site which keeps having problems with WWW and non-WWW. when i type the URL with www included, a blank page appears. How do i redirect that page to a non-WWW?

try stick this in a .htaccess in the main site directory

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.yourdomain.com [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://yourdomain.com/$1 [L,R=301]

if you already have a .htaccess with the line RewriteEngine on then there's no need to duplicate that line.
