Do many of you get genuine emails from people (endusers etc) via your whois contact information and have you been able to sell domains quite well like this?

It happens sometimes, especially when your domains are not parked or do not have a website with contact details. Often whois is the only way to reach the owner.

Yes it happens and I had some sales via that medium; that's why many would advise you against using privacy on your domain names.

I use an on-page eMail address. It sets the spammers apart from those that are actually interested in the domain.

I received an inquiry from previous owner through whois and offered $50, they hacked my gmail account.
Two steps authentication is now activated for all my accounts... godaddy, name.com, gmail...:D:roll:
