Description:
RapidWire.net has been established for over 2 years now. It is a very high traffic proxy which supports both the popular CGI and PHP proxy web technologies. The big success for this site has been it's simplicity. It's just there for users to use.
The site has a lot of referral traffic because of the nature of the site. It encourages users to share with their friends this site they can use to bypass filters or what not.
The site has had a long history of ad revenue for me through Adsense, Adbrite, Text-Link-Ads, and personal advertising sales. I've had 2 offers from 2 seemingly reputable domain buyers who were interested in buying the domain for $1k but I declined as I saw more potential for revenue through advertising at the time.
The major problem is I have trouble maintaining the server now with all the traffic and when it peaks, the server can't handle all the requests and this is whats hurting the site. The costs of the server is $115 and it's running on a dual core AMD chip (not exactly sure specific one) and right now the ad revenue has dropped off the wall for me. I don't really know why. I've experimented around but still nothing.
In addition to the messy server problems, I've decided to move onto other projects now and so I would like to get this proxy website of mine sold to someone.
Revenue Details:
Adsense, Adbrite, Text-Link-Ads, private ad sales have all combined to make revenue for the site.
