How long after I register a domain can I sell it? Is there a certain amount of time I have to wait for registration details to be sorted out etc?

You can sell it immediately just so long as the domain is pushed to another account at the same registrar.

In short, the ^ post is correct.
To transfer you will have to wait 60 days, but to push from one account to another intra-registrar you'll be fine from day one for all registrars that I know of.

Correct me if i'm wrong but i think directi needs one week before the push (or move as they call it)

You have to wait a minimum of 60 days, if you transferred the domain name to another register. However, you can transfer it back to the original register before the 60 day period is up.

On most registrars, you can push and transfer domain names immediately after registration or renewal.

Domain propagation can take up to 72 hours.
