How long (as in exact date or years) has this dot tv sub forum been available?

I was wondering what people thought were the top ten most important moments to happen in .TV since this forum has started?

Bill Gross is alive and well. He runs the incubator IDEALAB and they survived the bubble. DOT.TV was one of their incubated companies that they flipped. They've had some companies fail, while others have taken off. Many of their companies have been purchased by large internet/media companies:

i.e.
Overture bought by Yahoo
Picasa = Google
CitySearch = Ticketmaster/CitySearch = IAC

I do believe some of their newest concepts are stellar:

Evolution.com (robotics company) - brilliant name, sheer genius
SNAP.com (not the NBCi site from the bubble, new search engine) - this one will get bought out

and plenty more at http://Idealab.com

Would you say that a majority of the people you know of from that era have crashed and burn, more so then are doing fine now, such as Bill?

Well Bill did what he wanted to do his goal was to sell and he sold to exactly who he wanted to sell to Verisign. People there at the beginning told me Gross wnated to sell to Verisign and in 2002 he did for $45 million he was not a .tv domainer he just looked to build and then sell the company.

Domainer wise Elequa and MrsJello have $25 and $50 renewals and money is not a problem for either Igal(MrsJello) from some I have heard is a computer genius solda company for Millions years ago and has supported .tv sincve the beginning along with his parkingcompany DomainSpa. Elequa is extremely wealthy and has no desire to ever sell any domains.

Online.tv they were early and sold travel and mail to Elequa in 2005 for $100,000 most of their .tv domains recently dropped.

Who would you say is the largest .tv holder today?

I would assume some of the largest players are on here, such as johntv, local, etc...

Thanks for lumping me in there with some of the longtime players, but I don't think I can fit into their group. From what I've gathered, they've had a huge headstart and their portfolios are formidable. However, I am a developer and moving forward with some great concepts and plan to be a big part of the "ME.TV" & "overall .TV" ecosystems. I have development plans for all the domains in my portfolio so keep an eye on us.

Good luck to everyone.

I would bet future .tv domainers would be saying the same for the time in which we live in how...$9.99 .tv reg fees. I would not expect that to last.

No comparing regging LL.tv for $300 and LLL.tv for $150 and getting the leftovers for $9.99 IMO
