.tv Question/idea for Sedo/.tv

i am about to put one of my tv's in the featured area on sedo- just to help with my own exposure-
i feel exposure is so vital right now for .tv, and lets face it- there are many poeple who shop sedo looking for end user names-
so, i had yet another idea- i cant help but have the drive to keep pushing and keep trying things- if i sit on my butt, i only have myself to blame for lack of sales ;-(


anyways, i thought, how freakin cool would it look if there were like 50 .tv names in the featured area of sedo?!?!?!?!

what if, say even 25 tv names were there? i was thinking this- say i bought a featured spot, and so did 25-50 other people- each buy their own- BUT, to get the MOST visability of all our domains, i listed under MY description, all 25 names! and everybody does that!
then, anybody who views any of the names, will always see all of them!

since you can have this long description in sedo, we can all have the same little write up in the descriptions- like:

Here are some other fine .TV names listed on Sedo:
name
name
name
ect.

and you can even list more of your own under that-

so, you pay for one listing, but YOUR .tv name is actually visible on 25 listings-

i am listing no matter what- but i was trying to think of a way to expand the description usage-

How many are featured? My concern, and I like the idea don't get me wrong, is that we could end up buried on the last page of the featured listings.

Good idea Smash. Even without being featured one should list multiple domains in the Description section of the domain as standard practice because it does help to do so.

cool showbiz! work on picking a name of your to be featured- i will wait a few days to see if anyone else wants to join the tv featured sedo train!

I've been using this technique since 2003, and the results are good enough. Whenever I spend for featured listing, I simply display the list of all the names I own in the description field, whether they are .tv or .com or .net etc.

For a $39 (or $69 for all Sedo websites), all my domain names get exposure, and even 2-5 are getting sold for some nice resale value.

always thinking Smash. What was the thread that EQ posted a while back about Sedo not featuring .TV names. I've searched for it but I can't find it. Does it give concern to this idea? I remember swearing off ( and at ) Sedo at the time. But times change. I do see 22 .tv names featured and a couple come up on the home page when refreshed. anyway for the $39 I'd be willing to give it a shot.
I'd be interested in hearing EQ's reaction.

NO ROGOR it was about the closing soon on the auction they do not show .tv on the home page but you can feature a .tv no prob

Normally most of the people do not read the TOS at all. :hehe:

May be, listing the names in the description field constitutes TOS vioaltion. Did anyone check the TOS?

When you order a Featured Listing for $39 your domain listing will rotate between the Sedo homepage and featured listings page for 30 days. Thirteen randomly selected Featured Listing domains are displayed on the Sedo homepage each hour while the remaining domains are displayed on the Featured Listings page.

that would be the only question- but the way i read it, is i AM only paying and featuring MY listing, the names in the description do NOT show up in the featured rotation.

oh there would be plenty of room- i kinda like the idea of looking on the front page of sedo, and seeing a lot of tvs features
