.tv Question for those outside of US

Are there many popular/advertised ***TV.co.uk or ***tv.de ***tv.ca whichever is your home country extension.

I don't recall seeing/hearing any advertising
for ***TV.ca at all. nothing that I can remember anyway :o:
Except CTV.ca and that's a news station.

I only know 1 French news network : www.bfmtv.fr, and I still don't understand why they don't get BFM.tv (lol although I am pushing behind) not a big expense for them but a big plus more generic and intuitive more traffic...

Never noticed any popular TV.CH names in Switzerland.

Short answer from UK point of view is NO, i cannot remember ever seeing a ____tv.co.uk

i guess you could try www.google.ca - *tv.ca and see what happens.

The only one I can recall right now is ntv.de .. "news"tv
We don't have many channels that are called "whatever"TV here in Germany.
But I know of a few sites that advertise their .tv sites

About 5 min after i posted that there were no tv.co.uk's being advertised in the UK to my knowledge i was flicking through the TV Channels and noticed 'Living TV' use www.livingtv.co.uk
It is a real nice site, must get decent traffic to as Living is very popular, well popular as a Channel half way down the TV guide.

Here in Belgium, the main ISP and his IPTV offer: Belgacom TV
Good thing is, they have the .tv version.

There is also youmaketv.be, but now I see it redirects to youmake.tv.
(At the radio, they promote the ...tv.be version)

What I do see though is a lot more pure .tv sites advertised on television, fox in particular is naming a lot of their shows websites .tv
Its amazing how many of my friends call me or tell me about the .tv they just saw.

There are none that I know of & I presume that most likely there wouldn't be any either. 3rd level names wouldn't really look good IMO with ____TV.com.xx

I did however see about 2 xxxxxTV.com names being advertised for upcoming TV shows.

The Netherlands, no i cannot think of any popular/advertised website using ***tv.nl, however ***.tv is used widely by television programs, i think you can say that every new young television program uses .tv and is advertised like ****.TV

:hi: I live in Brisbane, Auss and, I must say alot of the aussies here are a bit naive to the whole .tv, .mobis. I no there are people out there that know about these extensions however its definetly not a talkable topic with the average joe blogs.............. weee a bit to far away from all you over populated countries, give us another year or two and we may see some movement!!

I went and had a check here for .gr domains ( Greece ), and though I have never heard or seen any of the following advertised or promoted, they have all been registered.
