Maybe a silly question , but suppose that you park a domain somewhere . Do you guys submit it to google to get indexed or leave it like that ?

No...?? Ok, is that against parking rules..??

My experience is that sooner or later any parked domain is crawled and listed by google anyway..

Anyone else care to comment..?

First, I didn't know people still submit, that's really old school and never really needed anyway, just a link will do. You can just tweet it for the bots to come over.

Then, indexed really doesn't matter for a parked domain because the important thing is, it won't rank.

If someone types into google search the correct spelling of your domain, example - yourdomain.com - it will more times than not come up first in the rankings, must be the actual domain though with the .com attached.

Parking pages may rank occasionally but generally won't hold any long term rankings. A parking page has no value in Google's eyes as no unique content so no need to submit it as their bot just labels it as a parking page=low value site. It would be the equivalent of telling a rich girl ya just bought a used Kia, she doesn't care. B-)

There is still value in having it indexed in google as I mentioned before, as people will sometimes search for the exact spelling of your domain name with the .com attached of course. The name should come up first on google then.

It's true though if your domain is for example - fastcars.com - the domain will not come up at least anywhere near the top of a search when a search is done for - fast cars - maybe by page 3 or 4, but not even sure about that.

So it is worth having it indexed just in case somebody does search for the exact spelling of the domain.

Whole thread is really just pushing a moot point.
If you park a domain, it means you just don't want to develop it to really be indexed by google and other search engines.
Parked page is denigrated by google when it finds it.
