I bought a domain from the list of godaddy closeouts. However they took the money but no notification of payment and no sign of the domain. Anyone any idea how long the process takes? I feel dirty using godaddy lol.
We couldn't do that because we don't have a way to make it so only your account wouldn't need to agree, and even if we could I don't think our legal or compliance team would go for it or our developers and support team because any time there was an update to the terms of service we would need to get you to agree to it somehow and we'd have to keep lists of people who this applies to and get them all to agree to the new terms and in the meantime shut off their ability to bid which would involve the support team letting people know and the developers shutting off people's accounts etc.I would love to be able to one time globally agree to the terms, instead of doing it every bid. If I have to sign a piece of paper and fax you to make this happen I would happily do it. Anything to save that click.
Also, having the option to jump a bid to a higher price would be amazing. The proxy bids extend the auctions out too long on the expensive domains. GoDaddy has lost like $6k+ in the last week because I don't have time for that.
Another option would be to give me API access so my team can develop a bid tool. It does not appear that your default APIs work with auctions.
Thanks for the response.
That's why I said usually - not all domains we sell are expired from GoDaddy, some expire at other companies and need to be transferred to a holding account and then moved to the buyer. If this is one of those domains that is not unusual that it is taking more than 43 days past expiration. If the support team said wait then you should get the domain. If you were not going to get it they would just tell you that.
When will the new GoDaddy Auctions design be launched? We are working on a new auctions design
If the domain is at GoDaddy it should be moving to you. Have you reached out to support yet about it? [email protected]Yea, I know. The domain in question is and was already at Godaddy - that's why I wondered.
It will not be in the near future but it is being actively worked on in the early design stages and likely there will be incremental improvements coming this year. It will not be a come one day and there is a new auction showing. For instance last month we changed the way saved searches work. When will the new GoDaddy Auctions design be launched?
Not a rhetorical question but do you use the app? Have you seen how poor it's design is? Also, why does it keep logging me out even when I select the remember me checkbox? Unless I open the app everyday, it will log me out due to "inactivity"We are working on a new auctions design and it will help with some of what you are concerned about. Also we released an app about two years ago which makes it easier to bid on names you are already bidding on or watching. It will allow you to bid quickly and easily on auctions you are involved in and you can do it from your phone so you don't have to be tethered to your computer. You can set up push notifications easily and with a touch of a button rebid if you are outbid.
It would be nice if there was a notification page which listed changes (more importantly, improvements) to the auctions serviceFor instance last month we changed the way saved searches work.

Can we use the desktop browser site and mobile app in tandem without encountering any issues? Or would this set off any red flags on GoDaddy's end? Also we released an app about two years ago which makes it easier to bid on names you are already bidding on or watching. that is fine to do.Can we use the desktop browser site and mobile app in tandem without encountering any issues? Or would this set off any red flags on GoDaddy's end?
I'm not on the iPhone app but the Android app. I do experience repeated log-outs in the appI use the app on my iPhone almost every day because my work network does not allow connecting to GoDaddy.
Good to know, thanks!that is fine to do.
