I have noticed that you can input a "New Inquiry" for your domains on the domains page.

This is so if you get an interested party via email you can put it into their system and assign it to a broker or something right?

The last two people that contacted me via email about my domains once I replied with a price I never heard back from them, so was thinking perhaps I could put them into DNS and see if one of the brokers could perhaps work their magic on them!?

I've had poor experiences using their brokers. I don't feel that they work on my behalf when handling my leads. Instead they seem to become the buyer's broker even if that means selling them a different name than mine.

Currently I either handle inquiries myself or send them to a single broker (outside of DNS) that I know and trust.

To clarify, I;m talking about the DNS brokerage team in general and not the private brokers on the system.

and yes to answer your question, you can upload inquires to the system that came from other sources using the 'new inquiry' option.

Thanks for the response and info. I've got one name that DNS are brokering right now for me; I quoted them a price when they asked and have been following the negotiations via the "
Inquiry History" page. I don't see any messages in there from the buyer though, just messages from me and the broker - is that normal? Noticed the broker has sent the buyer 2 messages, one looks like a response to a counter-offer the buyer made on the original price, but I'm not sure as I don't see any messages in the history from the buyer.

I've been considering using some of the private brokers in their system, but since I haven't been with DNS all that long I was waiting to see how the DNS brokers went.

I have only sent them two names to broker and I never saw any of the buyer's responses. In other dealings with them they've contacted me and I haven't been able to see communications from the broker or the buyer. Suspiciously, I received inquiries through DNS that I have started dealing with and then a few hours later had calls from DNS brokers asking for a price for 'their' client.

Another question if anyone could help..

Currently I have all my names assigned to the DNS broker team, but I'm thinking would I be able to have them assigned to myself by default and then if I get an inquiry assign that inquiry to the broker of my choice (if I have a relationship with them of course) or do the names have to be assigned with them to begin with?

I was wondering about this as I have had 5 enquiries in the 2 weeks I have had the Godaddy lead generation thing set up, that seem to have come to nothing. I provided comparables for the broker as well.

I was looking at their Negotiation Templates yesterday an this one caught my eye, the deflect an offer one, I won't post the content here, but the jist is they can help with an alternative name if they are given keywords and length.

After reading it, I realized, the company comes before the seller and wondered how to set it to broker my own domains, so this thread is helpful. Thanks. I am pleased with the number of leads so far compared to SEDO etc, and know it is too early to be sure of the results with DNS, but it just make me think twice.

To broker your own domains I believe you just go into "Settings -> Portfolio Mapping". :)

Just wondering if anyone knows, if I have DNS currently handling 2 inquiries for me as the broker, if I switch the whole portfolio (which includes these names) over to another broker, does this mean the new broker would now handle these inquiries instead or would they stay with DNS?
